Help Our Team Attend the BBBS National Conference

The National Big Brothers Big Sisters Conference is taking place in Philadelphia this summer and we would love to attend as a team! You can support this professional development opportunity with a donation today.

Help us raise $2,500

The National Big Brothers Big Sisters Conference is held in a different city each year, and this year it happens to be right in our backyard in Philadelphia! Typically we can only afford to send one person from our staff to the conference, but since the conference is an easy drive away we are hoping to be able to offer our entire staff the opportunity to attend.

Help is needed to cover registration fees and lodging for our team to attend the National Conference in June where we'll receive training on new programming opportunities, program enhancements, recruitment ideas, fundraising help and leadership training.

This workshop will showcase how group mentoring has been successfully implemented at several BBBS agency Innovator Sites – Chicago, Philadelphia, East Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Central Arizona, Eastern Missouri, Eastern Massachusetts, Heart of Georgia, Southwest and Michigan - over the past school year, using the BBBS Metro Atlanta Embedded In-School model. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how this approach works in a variety of agency sizes and community contexts—how it’s structured, what contributes to its success, and the positive outcomes seen so far. Through real-world examples and shared experiences, we’ll explore the benefits of this model and offer practical insights for agencies already running group mentoring or considering adding it to their programming menu.
