Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties would
like to announce Kevin and Donna Hare of Mays Landing, NJ, as our “Bigs of the
The criteria for being “Bigs” of the year include exemplary
performance as a Big Brother or Big Sisters, as well as being a public advocate
for the agency, and demonstrating positive impact and outcomes in the
development of their “Little”.
Kevin and Donna met and exceeded the criteria. They have been
matched as a couples match with Little Brother Carlos since 2007. Carlos lives
with his grandmother, Carmen, and two other siblings in Hammonton, NJ. His
grandmother felt he could benefit from having a few extra people in his life to
look up to in the absence of his parents. Since the start of their match the
Hares, and Carlos’ family, have developed an enduring bond built on mutual
respect, love, and admiration.

The Press of Atlantic City featured an article about our BBBS friend and advocate, Frank Tamru. Frank is a former Big Brother who has dedicated his life to helping others, and recently helped us advance our mission, in honor of his late wife, Dr. Robin Carter.
BBBS Annual Wild Walk for Kids Scheduled for Saturday, April 11th, 2015
We are hosting our second annual Wild Walk for Kids on April 11, 2015, at the Cape May County Park and Zoo. Registration begins at 9:30AM. Anyone wishing to walk or fundraise for this event can visit, www.wildwalkforkids.org, to register. Thanks to the generous support of, AtlantiCare, ACUA, and The Yoh Foundation, all money raised by walkers will go directly to provide services for the children in our program.

TD Charitable Foundation awards Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties $3,000 contribution
The TD Charitable Foundation has awarded Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties a contribution of $3,000. This generous investment will go towards the Mentoring project for children facing adversity in our communities.
