2016 Big Ticket 2 Ride Car Raffle Winner Announced Sunday October 9th, Tickets Still Available
For the past 18 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has held a
car raffle fundraiser to garner crucial operating costs for our mentoring
programs. We speak to over 1,200 ticket purchasers every summer who take a
chance at winning the car of their dreams. Our purchasers also understand that the dream of a car has
the ability to influence the dreams of the children in Big Brothers Big Sisters’
Recently a student serving as a Big Brother in
our St. Augustine Preparatory/Folsom Elementary school based mentoring program
shared the essay he wrote for his college application. When reading that essay,
it became evident that the work happening through the mentoring programs of Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties was inspiring dreams that
will affect our community for generations to come. Read on to see what he had to say.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties is hosting its annual car raffle drawing to support the services we offer to local children facing adversity. Tickets are available now through Sunday, October 9th when the winning ticket will be pulled at the Irish Festival in Smithville.
On Saturday, September 24, Eric and Seamus will rappel from the roof of the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel in Atlantic City. Side by side, they’ll make their way 15 stories to the ground, supporting and encouraging each other along the way.

Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties takes fundraising to new heights
with Over the Edge, a unique fundraising event that offers participants the exhilarating
opportunity of rappelling down a 15-story building. Scheduled for Saturday,
September 24th at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel
in Atlantic City, Over the Edge allows participants to rappel over 175 feet in

students seeking internships in marketing, not-for-profit management, or
fundraising. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic ad Cape May County is a
not-for-profit agency that seeks to provide children with life-changing mentoring
relationships. We have a small staff, so we rely on this role every summer to
help us during our busiest time of the year. The role will focus on our biggest
fundraising campaign of the year, and help our programs run smoothly by
ensuring inquiring volunteers and children receive the proper paperwork and
next steps they face.
Wild Walk for Kids, Saturday, April 9th 2016, Registration Begins at 9:30AM.
We are once again taking a walk on the wild side to support the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties mentoring programs. Please join us on Saturday April 9th, at the Cape May County Park and Zoo. Registration will begin at 9:30AM.
It is best to enter and park near the Route 9 Entrance to the Zoo. We will be gathering in the area of The Bandstand.
During registration there will be snacks, music, face painting, a mascot race, and a zumba warm up. The 2 mile walk will kick off at 10:35AM. Following the walk we encourage our walkers to visit the zoo.
