What Is It?

Bowl For Kids' Sake Presented by AtlantiCare is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties' largest, annual fundraising campaign culminating in community-wide bowling events in March - parties we hold to thank the members of the community for coming through for the kids. It's not about the bowling, it's about taking part in a fun activity to help local kids in need!

When Is It?

Bowl for Kids' Sake 2008 starts with our annual campaign kick-off luncheon on February 5th at Gregory's Restaurant in Somers Point.  After the luncheon, people put together teams and raise money until the campaign concludes with the bowling parties on March 29th & 30th. 

How Do I Get Involved?

It's easy. As a team captain, gather 4 or 5 additional friends, family members or colleagues to be your team members, and use your desire to have fun to raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Register your team and then you will be able to set up a fundraising team website that you can use to email friends and family from for donations!  You can also use a paper pledge sheet that will be available in early February to help solicit funds. When you arrive at the bowling center with your team, you hand in your contributions and pledges and have a blast at the bowling party we throw to thank you for all you've done for us.

How Does It Work?

ð Each bowling team consists of 5 or 6 people.
ð Each team registers online or with help from our office
ð Each individual bowler raises at least $100 (but your goal is $1,000!)
ð Each team bowls for one session on March 29 or March 30

You can even find and join a team online.  If you don't want to be on a team, but would like to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids' Sake, you can easily make a secure online donation through a team's Kintera website, our agency website, or you can register as an individual and begin to raise money online!

What Is This Year's Theme?
      
We want to TEAM UP to help kids!  Deck your team in jerseys of your favorite athletic team, TV characters, or something related to your company or organization! Or go vintage and show off your past BFKS team T-shirts.  Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, and most creative! Our kids need help and we need your help. Whatever you do, come ready to have fun!

What Does the Kintera BFKS Website Do?

This website is unique because it offers the capability for individuals to not only make a team page, but also to collect donations from their friends and family through fun & easy emails. Team captains and individual bowlers can track the progress of donation collections through secured online reports.

Is My Information & Donors' Information Safe?

Yes. The site uses industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure that your credit card information, passwords, and personal information travel securely over the Internet. They have also installed an encryption engine on our database server so that your data is securely stored.  Neither BBBS nor Kintera shares information with third parties.
